A Little Life Update

I know so many of you are tuning in today, looking forward to the next installment of our C-section talk. I’ve got a little bit of bad news for you—you might be able to hear it in my voice. If not, just hang on for a second, and I’ll let you know everything that’s going on.

So, you might or might not hear it in my voice—it’s a little gravelly and rough. I’m almost better, but last week I came down with what I think was just allergies. It started as that gross postnasal drip, then turned into a scratchy throat.

On Friday, I had to work a market for our CBD business that my husband and I run. We grow and process our own CBD, and I worked one of the local markets—it was loud, full of music, and I had to talk over the noise all day. By the end, my voice totally checked out!

All weekend, I kept saying I sounded like a two-pack-a-day grandma. Thankfully, my voice has mostly come back today, but I keep needing to pause to cough, which makes recording really tough.

When God Slows Us Down

Sometimes, God allows interruptions to slow us down.

I have all my content ready to share with you about VBACs—that’s our next big topic. We’ll be digging into whether a vaginal birth after C-section is safer or if a repeat C-section is safer. We’ll also look at the statistics and what you need to know to make the best decision for your care.

But for now, I need to rest my voice and give my body a chance to heal.

And honestly, maybe that’s God’s timing at work too. Maybe He’s using this little break to remind me—and you—that it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to wait. He has a plan for every season, even the ones that feel interrupted.

Trusting His Perfect Timing

So, hang in there with me. The next episode is coming soon—hopefully tomorrow, maybe Wednesday or Thursday. It really depends on how my throat holds out and whether this drainage goes away.

I don’t want you to have to listen to me sounding so scratchy, but I also know that God’s timing is always right.

When life doesn’t go according to our plans, it’s often because He’s aligning things perfectly behind the scenes. Even in the little things—like a lost voice or delayed episode—He’s teaching us patience, humility, and trust.

A Word of Thanks

Thank you for your support and for hanging in there with me. I’ll talk to you later this week, Lord willing.

And real quick—if today’s episode blessed you in any way, would you head over to Apple Podcasts and leave me a quick five-star written review? It takes less than a minute, but it’s the best “thank you” you can give me. It also helps the show reach more mamas just like you, so we can all discover God’s best for our families.
